My name is Douglas Shaun Tonks & I'm the owner of the newley reformed Wrekin Radio (Shropshire)

When did you re-form?

I tried to contact the previous owners of Wrekin Radio (formally known as Wrekin City Radio - WCR) or (The Hot FM) in July of 2020. Unfortunatley I didn't manage to do that, so I took it upon myself to reform the long lost, long missed Wrekin Radio (Shropshire) on July 28th, 2020

Why did you re-form?

I was thinking about the old pirate radio stations of the past that have virtually disapeared due to the internet revolution & have always wanted to run my own station, so that's exactly what I did.

The first thing you need to do is fill out the form called Join The Team on the homepage, then send me a 20-30 minute demo of your mainly introducing some music ect...

Does it cost me anything to get the mobile app?

No, the mobile app is totally free to download, just complete the form on the homepage and we'll send you a download like direct to your phone.

What kind of shows do you produce?

Our genre ranges from the 60's striaght through to the newest of the new.

How many LIVE presenters do you have?

We currently have 4 DJ's who perform LIVE on the station, again covering most genres.

What other shows are on the station?

We have shows sent to us from literally all over the world, from South Wales in Austrailia, Philidelphia, USA, The United Kingdom & from Tampa Bay in Florida, USA. If you click on the schedule page you will find all the currently aired shows on Wrekin Radio (Shropshire)

Does your station run advertisments?

Yes, the station is always looking for advertisers and we currently run a few advertisments, these include The Three Furnaces, Madeley, Telford & Rent2Buyyourcar.com, Halesfield, Telford.

Can i become a presenter on the station?
